About

Moriarty & Co was founded in 1971 with the mission to provide our clients with exceptional intelligence so that they can make the best decisions possible. Originally starting out as consultants in the security sector, the firm branched out to cover various sectors under the leadership of Leslie Armstrong.

The firm is now the global leader in the several consultancy areas and continues to expand its expertise across sectors.

We are able to deliver this high level of service because of our outstanding team of consultants. Every member of our team has been chosen after a rigorous process of interviews, reference checks and psychometric testing. And you can rest assured that confidentiality is key in all parts of our business.

We consider our clients as long term partners, and we aim to become your ally through all the ups and downs of your business. Once we start working with you, we become part of the family.

Let’s Work Together

Nobody really knows what management consultants do. Just ask one. But people hire them for research, expertise, ideas or even to justify decisions they’ve already made. So when Moriarty & Co, with it’s flashy offices and suited staff, operate in plain view, nobody thinks anything of it.
But Moriarty
is different from other firms.

It’s a professional service firm with a very specific core clientele: Organised Crime.

And hey, if you’re not there yet, they can help you organise as well.

The Founder set up the business in London to help bank and safe robbers in the 70s. The firm sourced schematics, researched the security systems and identified targets. But it would never get involved in the execution of a job.

When the Founder was pushed out, Armstrong took control of the business and expanded the remit and expertise of the firm - moving to help international clients across drugs, car theft, smuggling and bank fraud. But even Armstrong has his rules - no murder, no trafficking. Do some of his clients get involved in that? He’s always adopted a “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy. Armstrong also moved the firm into the lucrative and important service of management strategy and succession planning - key to the kingpin that wants to see his grandchildren grow up.

And the consultants? When Armstrong started to expand the firm, he decided to compartmentalise. Most of the firm’s analysts don’t know who the clients are - believing they are providing risk assessments and security advice for large corporations, governments and banks. Only the core team leaders know the truth, ensuring there’s a firebreak between the clients and the junior consultants.

This allowed the firm to hire bright, talented professionals who are dedicated to their jobs. The firm targets people that have fallen on employment difficulties, usually due to some ethical or criminal infraction, and offers them a chance at redemption. After they prove themselves, those ethical flaws come in useful if they are to be promoted and told the truth about the firm.
